Consignment
IES has had great success with a consignment program, where inventory of radios, cables, antennas, and more is kept on
the customer's premises while still on IES's books. The inventory is only billed when pulled from the shelf and used
in the field.
Typically the customer estimates their monthly usage and those quantities are used to start the consignment program.
This inventory is delivered to the customer and resides on their premises, either in warehouse type conditions or
on the field trucks. When a technician needs an item, it no longer requires an order to a supplier and the associated
shipping delays, but instead is pulled from the office or the tech's field truck. At the end of the day the items used
from consigment are documented with their appropriate billing information and sent to IES.
IES can support daily, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly billing schedules, and can support bi-weekly or monthly run rates
and restock frequencies.
